TASTING NOTES
Brick red in hue, the nose opens with restrained notes of worn leather and dried herbs, hinting at the depth to come. The palate is rich and finely structured, revealing layers of cassis, cracked black pepper, and a distinctive leathery spice. Tannins are polished yet assertive, carrying the wine through to a long, refined finish marked by earthy complexity and subtle oak integration.

About The Harvest
The 2022 season began with a dry winter, followed by a warm spring that accelerated early growth. Summer brought consistent heat, resulting in smaller berries with concentrated flavour. Despite lower yields, the vintage delivered exceptional structure and intensity—ideal for crafting age-worthy wines with refined complexity.
In The Cellar
Picked at optimum ripeness, grapes underwent natural fermentation in large French oak fermenters. Following malolactic fermentation, individual blocks were kept separate for eight months. Using only the free running juice, this blend was carefully created and matured for a further 12 months in French oak barriques.
Ruby brick. Cassis and dried fruit on the blackberry nose. Plum and prune on the nose with dried fruit and leather following from the nose. Grippy and lengthy on the chocolaty finish. Made to age.
